Handcrafted original aircraft skin from a BOEING B767-200.

The Boeing 767 is a twin-engine double-aisle jet designed for fuel efficiency. It has significant advantages compared to tri-engine jets such as L-1011 and DC-10. It has been such a successful jet that more than 1,200 Boeing 767 airframes have been delivered, over half of which are still active today.

N602UA was the 3rd Boeing 767 ever built. It took its first flight as early as November 1981 and was used for test flights before being delivered to United Airlines in January 1983. Painted in the classic Tulip livery, it carried the ship number 6002 as the second Boeing 767 for the airline.

Ship 6002 flew U.S. transcontinental routes in its first years, but then the Boeing 767 became the first ETOPS 120 airliner in 1985, ETOPS stands for Extended-range Twin-engine Operations Performance Standards. ETOPS 120 allows an airliner to operate 2 hours away from a diversion airport at one-engine inoperative cruise speed. With ETOPS 120 certification, the Boeing 767 was more frequently used on transatlantic flights.

In March 2003, after serving for 20 years, ship 6002 was grounded and stored in VCV, California. It has flew a total of 18,559 cycles over 75,118 hours before retirement. The flight deck was cut and preserved in 2011 but the rest of the fuselage was left in the desert for 10 years. And finally, we acquired some skins in the Battleship Grey livery (in use since 1995s) from ship 6002 and made 10,000 tags from this historic airliner. Now it’s our great pleasure to deliver this special tag to you!

Important to read before purchasing

Every tag has its unique serial number; each of them is unique and special. Tags are distributed randomly, and you will get a different serial number rather than the tag listed.

Purchasing multicolour tags will come with a unique pattern as every tag has a particular pattern, but the colour will be the same as what you bought. Purchasing multicoloured tags will be automatically agreed with the rule.

Aircraft skins are flown with the aircraft for years and parked in Boneyards before us handcrafting it to tag. Minor scratches and paint drop are normal, hexagons and multicolour rectangles tags are not recommended to use as a keychain, and all rectangles tags will come with a ring for daily use.

The whole package will include a cardboard alongside with the tag, relying on the hole and rings to connect them.

Please feel free to contact us for more details and your questions :)

Have a new day and enjoy your Airlinertags!
