Handcrafted original aircraft skin from an AIRBUS A340-600.
The Airbus A340 is a four-engined commercial airliner developed and produced by Airbus. Due to its wide-body design and long-range capability, the Airbus A340 was widely used for intercontinental flights. Four engines also avoided problems with the FAA ETOPS rules and brought extra reliability, making it very popular for both government and private use.
Qatar Airways is the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar. Together with Qatar Amiri Flight, it's the only airline (group) to operate all four variants of the A340 (-200, -300, -500 and -600).
Of the four variants of the A340, the A340-600 has the longest fuselage (75.3m/247ft) and therefore the largest capacity. The A340-600 was also the longest airliner in the world until the first flight of the Boeing 747-8. Sadly, as more efficient twin-jet airliners like the Airbus A350 and the Boeing 777/787 are now dominating the skies, four-engined jets including the A340s are being retired.
Named after the Ras Ushairij Gazelle Conservation Park, A7-AGC "Ras Ushairij" entered the Qatar fleet in 2006 and served for 13 years before its retirement in 2019. It ended up scrapped in the UK in July 2020, but we preserved part of the fuselage of this short-lived bird and it will now live on as your tag!

Aircraft Skin Origins:
Our aircraft skins have a rich history, having been flown with the aircraft for years before being parked in Boneyards, or during cargo conversions. We then handcraft these skins into tags. It's important to note that minor scratches and paint drops are normal due to their previous life.
Tag Usage Recommendations:
Hexagons and multicolour rectangle tags are not recommended for use as keychains. However, all rectangle tags come with a ring for daily use, providing convenience and durability.
Packaging Details:
Your package will include a cardboard piece alongside the tag. The hole and rings provided are designed to easily connect the two components, ensuring a secure and organized presentation.
