Handcrafted original aircraft skin from a BOEING B737-800.
Hainan Airlines (HNA) was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Haikou, Hainan Province. Its bases are located at Haikou Meilan International Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport. After 30 years of development, Hainan Airlines has become the fourth largest airline in China in terms of fleet size.
The story of Hainan Airlines and the Boeing 737 dates back to its establishment. In 1993, HNA introduced four Boeing 737s to its domestic routes for the starting of its operation. These four 737s were painted in special liveries "Xique Dengmei", "Junzi Mulan", "Zhubao Ping'an", and "Juxiang Youyuan", marking the milestone for special liveries applied on civil airliners in China. Since then, the Boeing 737 has become the absolute mainstay of HNA's narrow-body fleet. As of June 2023, HNA has operated over 200 Boeing 737 aircrafts.
The Boeing 737-800 with the registration number B-5480 made its first flight on July 10, 2009. It then started its career serving for HNA on July 27. Over the years, this aircraft has shuttled between major cities in China as well as overseas destinations such as Tokyo, Bangkok and Singapore, safely carrying millions of passengers on their journeys. On Sep. 30, 2022, B-5480 was ferried HAK-PVG where it received cargo conversion.
We have obtained the skin of the front section of the aircraft's fuselage cut off during its conversion. The skin was then turned into 1,800 tags. Years of strong wind, dust, rain, snow, and the extreme temperature have left their mark on each and every tag. As a result, scratches can be clearly seen on many of the tags. However, we carefully selected the best ones so that aviation enthusiasts like you can own this exquisite tag and, together with it, once again fly into the infinite blue sky!
