Handcrafted original aircraft skin from an AIRBUS A320-200.

Founded in 1985, Dragonair (later renamed Cathay Dragon) was the second-largest airline in Hong Kong before ceasing operations in 2020. In 1993, Dragonair introduced its first batch of seven Airbus A320 airliners, replacing the older Boeing 737-200 aircraft. These A320s operated on routes between Kai Tak International Airport in Hong Kong and mainland Chinese cities. With the return of Hong Kong and the futher expansion of Dragonair, the airline started adding seventeen more A320s since 1998.

As the first of the seventeen to join the Dragonair fleet, the Airbus A320 MSN 756 made its first flight on Dec. 11, 1997, and was delivered on Feb. 16 the following year with the registration number B-HSD. As the initial seven A320s left the fleet by 1999, B-HSD became Dragonair's oldest A320. During its 22 years of service, this airliner flew across so many cities in China and operated international routes towards Japan, South Korea, Maylasia and Thailand etc. On February 25, 2020, B-HSD, as the longest-serving A320 in Dragonair's fleet and the particular airliner wearing the classic livery for the longest duration, operated its last regular flight as KA233 from Chiang Mai, Thailand to Hong Kong, China. The airliner was then grounded and stored due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On November 18, 2020, B-HSD was ferried to St Athan Airport in the UK and was later dismantled in April 2021. Although Dragonair faded away from the stage of history, we were fortunate to preserve a portion of the fuselage skin of B-HSD. Finally, this Airbus A320 with its legendary history can continue the remarkable story of Dragonair as this tag in your hands.

More information on Airlinertags

Weight : around 0.03kg per tag

Size : (Hexagon) 52mm*60mm in square size

          (Rectangle) 95mm*30mm

Important to read before purchasing

Every tag has its unique serial number; each of them is unique and special. Tags are distributed randomly, and you will get a different serial number rather than the tag listed.

Purchasing multicolour tags will come with a unique pattern as every tag has a particular pattern, but the colour will be the same as what you bought. Purchasing multicoloured tags will be automatically agreed with the rule.

Aircraft skins are flown with the aircraft for years and parked in Boneyards before us handcrafting it to tag. Minor scratches and paint drop are normal, hexagons and multicolour rectangles tags are not recommended to use as a keychain, and all rectangles tags will come with a ring for daily use.

The whole package will include a cardboard alongside with the tag, relying on the hole and rings to connect them.

Please feel free to contact us for more details and your questions :)

Have a new day and enjoy your Airlinertags!
