Description

Handcrafted original aircraft skin from a BOEING B747-400.

Airliners are just as free as birds. However, the bird dies, and the airliner retires. Parts removed, fuselage crushed, and the metal recycled, that's what happens when an airliner is being scrapped.

In most cases, a scrapped airliner is gone for good. But our B-HUI has a different story.

First flew on 3 Jun 1994, the 1033rd Boeing 747 was delivered to Cathay Pacific as VR-HUI. The Queen of the sky comes with the nickname "Miss Hui" for her registration number. She was re-registered B-HUI in Sep 1997 after her return to Hong Kong.

On 30 Sep 2016, the 22-year-old airliner was withdrawn from use. Together with B-HKT and B-HUJ, the last three jumbo jets witnessed the end of the Boeing 747 era of Cathay Pacific.

Our “Miss Hui" was then ferried HKG-MAN on 27 Oct, where she received customs clearance. Four days later, the airliner completed her final landing at Bruntingthorpe. Unlike other aircraft, the upper deck of B-HUI was saved before the rest of the airframe met the jaw. The cockpit was moved to St Athan for preservation in Jan 2019, but the windows were left behind.

In 2021, we were very surprised to come across the window cuts of B-HUI. And even more surprised that both sides' "Asia's World City" logos were still intact! Since there was no plan to exhibit those windows and logos, we decided to make some B-HUI tags.

And now, for the first time, you can own a piece of this legendary Boeing 747 with RB211 engines.

More information on Airlinertags

Weight : around 0.03kg per tag

Size : (Hexagon) 52mm*60mm in square size

          (Rectangle) 95mm*30mm

Important to read before purchasing

Every tag has its unique serial number; each of them is unique and special. Tags are distributed randomly, and you will get a different serial number rather than the tag listed.

Purchasing multicolour tags will come with a unique pattern as every tag has a particular pattern, but the colour will be the same as what you bought. Purchasing multicoloured tags will be automatically agreed with the rule.

Aircraft skins are flown with the aircraft for years and parked in Boneyards before us handcrafting it to tag. Minor scratches and paint drop are normal, hexagons and multicolour rectangles tags are not recommended to use as a keychain, and all rectangles tags will come with a ring for daily use.

The whole package will include a cardboard alongside with the tag, relying on the hole and rings to connect them.

Please feel free to contact us for more details and your questions :)

Have a new day and enjoy your Airlinertags!
